Osteosynt system
The Osteosynt system is presented in absolute as an innovative line for both the technical features of the screws as well of all the dedicated surgical instruments.
The screws Osteosynt are designed and developed with a number of solutions that ensure a secure fastening for a considerable range of elements used in regeneration: Absorbable and non-absorbable membranes, Grids, Bone Lamina, Blocks bone of both high and low consistentia.
Main features of the Osteosynt screws:
- The square shape of the insert maximizes the torque transmitted, while still providing a remarkable easy cleaning in the case the insert is occluded by organic residues.
- The Under head is sufficiently flat to ensure an effective stop once completely screwed in, thus avoiding the annoying effect of the penetration in the added material.
- The wide connections between the head and shank of the screw, reduces considerably the notching effects and results in greater mechanical strength due to a lower concentration of stress load.
- The cylindrical portion of the screw provides both a high rigidity of the screw and is a major reduction in the area exposed to contact with the bone; this solution also reduces the lads on the screw during the removal phase.
- The trapezoidal thread greatly reduces the torque required for screwing and, together with the high pitch, offers considerable clamping loads even in the presence of bone not very dense.
